FAQ's

Do the candlestick holders vary from piece to piece?

Yes, each holder is made using a traditional ceramic mold process and then glazed by hand. Expect small, natural variations in color, texture, and shape. These differences are part of the charm and authenticity of handmade folk ceramics.

How do I use a ceramic candlestick holder?

Place a standard taper candle into the opening and press gently until it feels secure. We recommend placing your holder on a stable, heat-safe surface and keeping burning candles attended. These are perfect for dining tables, mantels, and shelves to everyday spaces.

What materials are used in your ceramic candlestick holders?

Our candlestick holders are crafted from high-quality earthenware ceramic clay. Each piece is molded, hand refined and and hand glazed with a high fire glaze.

What happens if my order arrives damaged?

If your order arrives chipped or broken, simply send us a photo within 5 days of delivery. We’ll replace the item or offer a refund, whichever you prefer. We pack our ceramics securely, but accidents can happen in transit.

How do I clean my ceramic candlestick holder?

We recommend rinsing gently with hot water while using a soft sponge or cloth to remove any wax residue.

Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive scrubbers, or dishwashers, as they can damage the glaze.

What size candles work best?

Our candlestick holders are designed to fit most standard taper candles. To help ensure a cozy, snug fit, we also include a complimentary “candlestick clovers” with each order. These are small inserts that can be used to secure candles that may have a little wiggle room, so they sit upright and feel stable.

HOW IT'S MADE

STEP 1:

Starting with a raw hunk of clay, the basic form of the horse was sculpted by hand.

STEP 2:

At this stage, more clay was added to turn the horse into a candlestick holder. in addition to hand-carved details that reference Swedish Dala Horses.

STEP 3:

Many versions of the horse are created throughout the prototyping process, but at this point, the best horse is selected and sent to our ceramic partners in Mexico.

STEP 4:

From there, the original horse goes through a traditional plaster mold process which focuses on keeping the integrity of the details and shape of the piece. After duplicate horses are created, they are all glazed by hand giving each one slight variation in color and character.
